Pinocchio celebrates 131 years

The event "PINOCCHIO CELEBRATES 131 YEARS" organized and promoted by the Cultural Association Pinocchio by Carlo Lorenzini, under the patronage of the City of Florence, will be held in Florence Saturday, July 7, 2012.

At 11:00 am in the National Central Library will be inaugurated the exhibition "PINOCCHIO IN FIRST VISION WITH GIUNTI IN THE NATIONAL LIBRARY", where the originals of the first illustrator of Pinocchio will be exhibited, property of the Historical Archive Giunti, and first editions of the fairy tale in Italian preserved at the National Library along with collectibles.

At 15:00 , after paying homage to Carlo Lorenzini in Via Taddea, there will be the "PATHWAY PINOCCHIO IN SAN LORENZO" in Piazza del Mercato Centrale and under the arcades in Via Sant'Antonino with many activities for all ages: workshops, performances, music, dance, games and a special concert at the statue of Pinocchio.

At 17:00 in the Pastry Sieni in Via dell'Ariento n. 29, there will be a tasting of dishes inspired by Pinocchio freely created by the restaurants that have joined the "AT TABLE WITH PINOCCHIO" and the jury will announce the winner taking account of creativity, skills, taste and presentation.
The Jury is composed by: Lino Amantini (Vice Chairman Association of Florentine Chefs), Luciano Artusi (historical), Lucia Bacciottini (nutritionist), Monica Baldi (President Association), Renato Coppola (Institutional Committee Chairman), Isabella D 'Antono (Director Italy 7), Lionardo Ginori Lisci (Honorary President), Andreina Mancini (Pastry Sieni), Alessandro Savorelli (Scientific Committee Chairman), Maria Letizia Sebastiani (Director, National Library of Florence).
